Hello all, it’s been a while since you’ve last heard from me. Let me begin by saying, you’ll be hearing a lot more from me going forward. What have I been up to? So much that each day is more of a blur than the next.
Many of you know that I am a full-time tax accountant. I work both for a large company and for myself. On that note, EstevezTax.com will be up by the end of week! Things got a little crazier than expected during tax season.
First and unfortunately, one of my colleagues passed away which in turn created a unexpected work load.
Second, I doubled my client base for Estevez Tax Preparation, LLC. This all lead to less content production. I’m happy to say that’s all over (until January). I’m now committed to blog posts, interacting with my followers, and growing my tax & bookkeeping company. Hopefully, I’ll be able to quit my full-time job sometime soon and move closer to my goal of true financial freedom.
One thing that’s contributing toward that goal is through my purchase of a back office for my tax company. It will allow me to run a lean model where I have more face time with my clients. In addition, I’ll have more time to grow my base even more so than last year. At the moment, I’m looking to bring on more bookkeeping than tax clients though those two areas are my main drivers.
Another endeavor that has taken up some time in the last few months is my father’s new startup. First Class Home Care, LLC is now duly licensed in the state of New Jersey to take on home health care clients. I’ve been helping him get off the ground in my spare time. In doing so, I was reminded of all the logistics that a startup entails. I’m glad that part is over but this journey is just the beginning. Next on the list is to develop their marketing and staffing plan.
With my hand in so many different buckets lately, I have plenty of ideas for upcoming posts.
Please, let me know if their are any topics you all have in mind for the future!
